I need your help blogging friends! We're trying to save money in this Henry Home, so I've decided to pick up the craft of couponing. I hit up all the best websites on coupons, printed off coupons from the best places, organized them and then took them to my local Winco to use.
At the checkout I placed each item with it's coupon and the young checker-man said, "Oh we don't take internet coupons, where did you get these?" I almost started to cry as I sat there with all my food! Luckily, he said he'd take half of the ones I brought. But, what I'm wondering is, these were actual, legitimate coupons from websites...
So where can I use coupons and get my grocery shopping done, any ideas?
Any other tips you'd like to give me? I'd love to hear them!

Walmart and Albertsons take internet coupons. If they have it for your area Grocery Smarts website helps a lot. It matches your regional grocery ads with coupons for you so you don't have to do the work, and they tell you what a great deal is. Other good places are CVS and Walgreens. It takes some work to learn, but you can definitely save money!
ReplyDeleteHey! I have actually started to do the same thing! I found this really good website if you are in Washington it works... grocerysmarts.com (it will tell you what is on sale at each store in your area and how good of a deal it is) Then I use krazycouponlady.blogspot.com for them to tell me any deals that I missed! So far it has worked sooo well! The other day I went to alberstons and spent $14 dollars on stuff I would of spent over $35! Never would of shopped at alberstons before! But just make sure you know the store rules about coupons first because then you can save more money! (the rules are on the blogspot website) If you have any questions just give me a call!
ReplyDeleteI try to be a good couponer, but I definitely haven't mastered it yet. Good luck figuring it out! Share the secret when you figure it out :)
ReplyDeleteAlso...talk to the stores HEAD manager because every single checker will tell you something different. I have had cashiers at Walmart tell me they don't take computer coupons and I rolled my eyes and said, "call your manager cause yes you do." It can be a pain but it is worth it if you have the time. Good Luck!!!
