In Kansas, whether you recreate the Wizard of Oz or visit the World's Largest Cornfield, you have to come up with your own things to do here! That's why we declared this past weekend as National Jayhawk Day! Currently our Pest Control adventures have landed us here in Lawrence, KS and that is where the
University of Kansas is. So on Saturday we went down to the bookstore and bought ourselves some Jayhawk gear, and then yesterday we walked around campus in 98 degree heat (+ humidity=death) to tour the sites. Nevertheless, we were still able to smile in all of the pictures, but don't be fooled! Here are some of our favorite memories...
The boys are posing in front of "Strong Hall" in that last picture (and no they don't just go around posing like that naturally; although, maybe they should, what beefcakes!) and YES, the UofK has their very own Jayhawk Coke Can! I could hardly contain myself... As many of you probably know, the Jaywawks won the NCAA Championship this year so the trophy is on display in their Fieldhouse. Unfortunately, out of all of the buildings we went into, the Fieldhouse was the only building closed on Sundays...So instead, here's the boys on display after we found out...
Happy Jayhawk Day!
Little Boys Blue. That is the title of the last picture Ashley. What some great fun. All those pictures turned out great. So much fun and so much blue.
Take care and have a great week.
You guys are so funny and creative. Looks like you're finding time to have fun--I love the pictures and that you all bought shirts. How do you feel being the lone girl? When do you guys head back?
That is such a fun idea! I love it! Cute pictures!!!
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! The coke can was crazy! I want my own!
You guys are too funny.
What will it be next weekend? I can't wait to find out.
Super cute pictures, Ashley and Marcus. You guys really do make lemonade out of lemons! (or, coke!) Now, what does Salinas have to offer?
and I thought Provo was bad with nothing to do! Way to be creative and still get out and have some fun. You have inspired, I just realized that I need to live up the rest of my summer! THANKS...also..I'm re-reading all of the twilight series to prepare myself. LOVE IT. AND I work an 8 hour shift the day it comes out...and so I will have all day to just sit at my desk and read...I'm EXCITED :)
So fun! I love all the pictures! I need to learn from your example and start pulling my camera out more.
