OUT ON THE GREEN

July 20, 2016

Marcus had a couple of extra golf passes he needed to use by the end of July, so instead of spending the whole afternoon away from him, we decided to join him on the green. Along with our nephews, Harper had so much fun running around the golf green, picking up their golf balls and then running off with them.  As I tried unsuccessfully to chase after her! She has gotten so fast, and I have slowed down because of my pregnancy, that even I have a hard time chasing up to her. She definitely has the Henry genes! My favorite part was enjoying the scenery and eating snacks of course. We all loved it and I even told Marcus I’d be willing to go again. Did those words really just come out of my mouth?!

BUMPDATE: WEEK 25

July 11, 2016

How Far Along?
 25 weeks
Weight Gain:

15 pounds
Maternity Clothes?

Yes, I love being able to slip on comfortable pants and leggings-and then go eat!
Sleep?

I can tell I’m just on the brink of becoming uncomfortable. I keep tossing back and forth, and still try to get away with sleeping on my back.
Best moment this week?

I think the best feeling is just having my energy back for these last few weeks. I’m finally able to stay up late again, and not have to take a nap during the day.
Weird pregnancy moment?

I’m totally getting into “nesting mode” thinking about all the things I want to do/get done before the baby comes. The other day we were outside and I just picked up a broom and started wiping down all the cobwebs off the house! I’m sure the neighbors thought I looked ridiculous 6 months pregnant trying to reach the highest places of our house.
Movement:

We were sitting outside talking with family during the 4th of July, and all of sudden I just felt this foot or arm move across my stomach and then start kicking/punching nonstop. It was the most movement I’ve felt so far!
Food Cravings:
Squirt and Chocolate Milk.
Anything making you queasy?
No foods necessarily, but my nausea is just now letting up. And even still, every once and awhile, I’ll start to feel queasy.
Gender:
At our anatomy scan, the tech was trying to get a good picture of the gender. And baby would still not spread her legs! The tech got a quick peek and saw it was most likely a girl, but still wasn’t able to take a picture. Now I’m second guessing them though and wondering if this baby will come out a boy after all!
What I'm looking forward to:

I think I’m most looking forward to just spending some quality time enjoying Harper and summertime! Harper is at such a fun stage, but is keeping me running nonstop. I’m definitely NOT in a rush for this pregnancy to be over.

4TH OF JULY

July 5, 2016

The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday. BBQs, summer temperatures, and fireworks are pretty much how I wish I could spend every day! So it was even better when this year’s celebration landed on a Monday and it was a three day weekend of backyard partying.  Saturday we went and loaded up on Fireworks and had fun introducing Harper to “Little Poppers.” She wanted to step on them again and again, after she realized she couldn’t throw them down hard enough. She was SO excited by the little sound they made, and was even more impressed by the sparklers. Sunday we lit off fireworks at my parent’s house where they have the perfect lawn for it, and all fireworks are legal. Marcus’ sister and their family came out too and we sat back and watched as Marcus and Chad nearly had their arms blown off! Everyone loved the fireworks, and the “sparkler art.” Monday started off with a pancake breakfast, then handing out otter pops at the downtown Pasco parade, and then BBQ and swimming. Throughout the parade Harper’s hand would shoot out of her stroller with an empty otter pop and I could hear her saying “Od Pop, Od Pop!” which meant she wanted another.  It was SO cute! We finished the night with fireworks along the river, my favorite tradition, and came home and crashed. I was so tired by the end of the night; I could tell the day’s events had definitely caught up to me.
