Going from Germany to Austria we were amazed at the fields of green pastures along the way. When we got to Austria, we decided to pull over so that we could send up our drone to catch some footage. The next thing we knew, we had an angry Austrian farmer come up to our car yelling at us to bring it down. He threatened that he was going to call the police on us and we needed to delete the footage. We pretended like we couldn’t understand what he was saying and it totally freaked us out at first. And then about 10 minutes later we just started laughing about what he really could’ve done. We were in a rental car after all! But that’s how it goes sometimes! And it wasn't our first time.
When we got to our Airbnb in Hallstatt, we stayed in a huge house and our hosts were the sweetest family. They made sure we had everything we needed-including lots of toys for girls, chocolates, and taking them out to see their bunnies.
The next day we went to Hallstatt and it was like walking into a storybook! The streets were so pretty with an actual pear tree growing up the side of a house! We took a boat onto Hallstatt Lake and what started as a relaxing boat ride, turned into tears as Harper dropped her small toy in the lake. And Elle just wanted to climb into the water. We were so afraid that she might fall in! Lucky for us the boat only went about 10 mph. While out on the boat, Harper again said she needed to go potty. So we pulled down her britches and put her up over the side of the boat. When we looked up we noticed how close we were to the shore and that there were several people on lawn chairs staring at us. Oops! At least we gave them a good show, and something to laugh about later!
